Vintage Tribal Fish and Leaves Etched Stoneware Pottery Hand Made Small Heavy Art Vessel Bud Vase 2 1/2" tall

This beautiful vintage tribal etched stoneware pottery vessel is hand carved stone and measure 2 1/2" tall and 2 3/4" in diameter. It is very heavy for its size, weighing approximately 9 oz. The etched design on the sides and mouth features fish and leaves and a decorative scalloped pattern around the neck of the vessel. You can feel the textured chiseled marks on the inside of the vase and the texture of the etchings on the outside. There are a couple rougher spots around the edge of the top (see close up photo) but the etching goes over them so they appear to be organic from the carving process and not later chips. The colors are wonderful muted shades of rusty peach, maroon, and brown. Gorgeous little vessel!
