Vintage Royal Gothic Historical Playing Cards Made in West Germany Double Deck Luxury Ornate Standard Bridge Decks Altenburg Stralsunder

This beautiful vintage 1970s boxed double deck set of luxury playing cards is labeled "Royal Gothic Historical Playing Cards" and was made by Altenburg-Stralsunder of West Germany and distributed by Discovery Toys. The set comes in the original box. The cards are unsealed but appear unused and still look and feel crisp and new. The box has a few tiny expected scuffs along the edges (see photos) but is still in wonderful condition. Each deck comes with three jokers, for a total of six. The face cards are stunning, the most beautiful playing cards I've ever seen, and photos don't do them justice! The back of the box indicates that the "beautiful playing cards depicting medieval Kings, Queens and Knights are printed in nine colors and represent one of the most luxurious packs of playing cards available in the world."  Both decks are complete.
