This beautiful antique quadruple plate silver plate tea service set includes a teapot with hinged lid, a creamer pitcher, a sugar bowl, and a waste bowl with lid. All four pieces are stamped on the bottom: "Pat'd May 10 1898, Van Bergh Silver Plate Co. Rochester NY, Quadruple Plate". The teapot measures 9 5/8" long from handle to spout, 6 3/4" tall, and 5 3/4" wide. The creamer pitcher measures 6 1/4" long, 4 3/8" wide and 3 1/4" tall. The sugar bowl measures 7 1/8" long, 3 1/2" tall, and 4 3/8" wide , and the waste bowl measures 7 1/2" long, 6" tall with lid on, and 4 3/4" wide. The set shows tarnish and some wear from age/use (some scratches and a small dent in the edge of the waste bowl lid), and the teapot has a few small worn spots in the metal on the hinged lid, but overall the set is lovely.
